Alhambra permits are easier when the project type is clear

Alhambra's building and applications pages route plan check, building permits, planning applications, home occupation permits, tree removal, and other forms through city online paths.

Alhambrabuilding permitspermit portal

For an Alhambra project, the first useful move is naming the work in a plain sentence. A kitchen repair, new sign, home business, tree removal, tenant change, and larger remodel may all feel like “a permit,” but they can land in different city lanes.

The Building Division page routes building plan check and permits through the permit portal. The applications page gathers planning forms, home occupation permits, zoning clearance, temporary use permits, tree removal, minor review, and other city paperwork.

That saves a little guesswork in a compact city with older homes, storefronts, apartments, schools, and busy commercial streets close together. Before opening the portal, gather the address, a short work description, owner or contractor contact information, and any drawings or photos. If the task is tied to a business, keep the business name and activity handy too.
