The short version
California Porch is a public-information directory operated by Emma Rose Holdings LLC. We try to collect as little personal information as possible. You can browse the site and use its tools without creating an account. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Tool inputs stay in your browser
Calculator and router inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to a California Porch account system. Do not enter Social Security numbers, account numbers, claim numbers, medical details, passwords, or other sensitive records into any tool or form on this site.
Hosting and security logs
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Like most hosting providers, it may process IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, dates, times, network information, challenge results, and errors. Those records are used to deliver pages, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and protect the service. Cloudflare controls its provider-level retention and legal obligations.
Web analytics
California Porch uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages people visit and whether those pages load well. Its reports may include total visits and page views, page paths, referring sites, broad country and device details, and page-speed measurements such as Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare says this service does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint individual readers, and does not log URL query strings. Tool entries, raw search words, feedback messages, and email addresses are not sent to this service. See Cloudflare's Web Analytics overview and FAQ.
Aggregate site signals
California Porch also uses Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine for submitted-search counts, zero-result counts, result counts, search length, search word count, outside-source clicks, calculator-use counts, handoffs to specific place pages, and whether feedback was opened or successfully sent. These signals help find dead ends and improve tools, place routes, feedback, and official-source handoffs.
The site does not put raw search text, calculator entries or results, feedback messages or email addresses, IP addresses, cookies, full referring addresses, account IDs, or visitor IDs into that dataset. Outside-link measurements keep the destination domain and path but drop query strings. Place handoffs keep only the destination path. The signal script does not run when Global Privacy Control or a browser Do Not Track signal is active. Cloudflare keeps Analytics Engine data under its provider retention rules.
Feedback notes and spam checks
If you send feedback, we receive the note type, message, optional reply email, page address, page title, content type, and timestamps. Resend delivers the note to a private inbox. The submitted feedback record does not include your raw IP address, browser user-agent, or the hashed rate-limit key.
To reduce abuse, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. The feedback endpoint briefly combines an IP address and browser user-agent into a keyed, one-way rate-limit hash. A configured rate-limit record expires after about two minutes; it is not included in the feedback message. Cloudflare may process the IP address and browser information needed to run its challenge.
Feedback is for fixing California Porch. Do not send Social Security numbers, account numbers, claim numbers, private financial details, health information, passwords, confidential records, or personal advice requests.
Service providers and outside sites
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, spam checks, and optional aggregate measurement. Resend provides feedback-email delivery. They process information for those services under their own terms and privacy notices. Public agencies and other sites reached through outside links also follow their own privacy rules. We do not control what an outside site collects after you leave California Porch.
Advertising, cookies, and tracking
The current site does not run advertising, behavioral profiling, a newsletter, or a login system. California Porch does not use its own advertising cookies or follow people across unrelated sites. Cloudflare and outside sites may use technical storage or other mechanisms under their own notices to provide their services.
How long we keep information
Our working rule is to delete raw feedback messages and optional reply emails within 12 months after receipt, unless they are needed for an active correction, security investigation, legal requirement, dispute, or continuing conversation. An optional feedback-storage binding is configured to expire records within 365 days. We may keep a correction or maintenance record after removing the sender's message and contact information. Hosting, Turnstile, Analytics Engine, and email-delivery records may also remain for the periods set by their providers.
Privacy choices and requests
You can browse without submitting feedback. You may ask what personal information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, through the privacy request form below. We may ask for enough information to locate the record and verify that the request concerns you. We will not discriminate against someone for making a privacy request. Some records may be kept when the law permits or requires it, including for security, disputes, or legal obligations.
California privacy laws give additional rights when their coverage requirements are met. California Porch honors Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track for its optional aggregate signal script even though it does not sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising.
Children
California Porch is a general-audience public-information site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to submit personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal information can contact us to request deletion.
Security
We use data minimization, access controls, spam protection, encrypted connections, and other reasonable safeguards suited to the limited information the site handles. No website, email system, or vendor can promise perfect security. Please do not use this site to send sensitive records.
Changes to this notice
The date at the top identifies the current notice. If our collection or use changes in a material way, we will update this page before or when the change takes effect and place a prominent notice on the site when the change would not be clear from this page alone.
Contact
Use the privacy request form and include an optional reply email if you want a response. Tell us only the email address or feedback details needed to locate your record. Do not send identity documents or sensitive records unless we specifically explain why they are needed.
