Beaumont Transit mixes local routes, commuter links, and Dial-A-Ride

Beaumont Transit has three pieces: local fixed routes for everyday trips, commuter links for longer regional movement, and Dial-A-Ride for ADA-certified passengers.

The fixed-route side is the regular map-and-schedule part. Beaumont lists eight fixed routes and two commuter links, with a live “Where’s the Bus” tool for timing. That can be useful in a fast-growing city where a trip may be across town, toward shopping, school, medical offices, or a connection out of Beaumont.

Dial-A-Ride works differently. It is curb-to-curb service for ADA-certified passengers within Beaumont and parts of Cherry Valley. Reservations are made by phone at least 24 hours ahead, and the ride is confirmed only after a Transit Office employee speaks with the passenger.

The main thing is to pick the service type first. If you can use the route map, start there. If the trip needs ADA paratransit, the reservation call and certification details matter most.
