El Monte trash and bulky pickup go through Valley Vista
El Monte's residential trash page identifies Valley Vista Services as the curbside collection provider and gives a separate bulky pickup path.
El Monte residential trash service is handled by Valley Vista Services. The city trash page covers the three-cart setup for single-family homes, with trash, recycling, and green waste or food waste carts.
Bulky waste is a separate step. Furniture, appliances, and other large items need a scheduled bulky pickup through Valley Vista instead of being left out whenever convenient. The current city FAQ also notes that single-family homes and planned unit developments have a free bulky pickup allowance, but the provider should still be contacted for timing.
Before scheduling, check the trash page and bulky waste page for current instructions. Have the address, collection day, item list, and contact information ready. El Monte has many apartments, tight streets, and older residential blocks, so placing items only at the approved time helps keep sidewalks and alleys usable.
