Fairfield's zone map and AlertSolano do different jobs
Genasys Protect identifies a Fairfield evacuation zone and its live status, while AlertSolano sends emergency notifications that use the same zone name.
Fairfield uses preplanned evacuation zones across Solano County. Enter an address in Genasys Protect, write down the unique zone name, and save the zones for home, work, school, and anyone you may need to help.
Genasys Protect is the map and live-status tool. AlertSolano is the notification system, and its emergency messages use the same zone names. Saving a zone does not sign a phone up for messages, so residents still need to register for AlertSolano.
The status words tell you what to do. An evacuation warning means a possible threat; people who need more time and those with pets or livestock should leave. An evacuation order means an immediate threat and a lawful direction to leave now. Shelter in place means go inside, close and lock openings, and wait for more instructions.
Check the live status and the current message together. A white or normal map today does not predict tomorrow, and an old map image should never replace the active incident page.
