Hawthorne permit records run through Citizen Self Service

Hawthornepermitsinspections

Hawthorne’s Citizen Self Service portal is the online place to work with many permit and plan records. It can be used to view the current status of a permit or plan, request inspections, and review plan submittals.

That is handy because Hawthorne projects can be small, fast, and easy to mix up: a repair near a garage, a tenant change, a small remodel, or a plan review question may all sound similar until the city sees the record.

Before using the portal, keep the property address, permit or plan number if you already have one, and the contact email for the applicant. If the project has plans, make sure the file names and project description match what you are asking the city to review.

For simple payment questions, Hawthorne has a separate online payments page. The portal is best when the question is tied to a permit or plan record.

California Porch explains the path. The official source is still the place to confirm the current rule, fee, form, map, deadline, or office decision.

Use the official page before you spend money, file paperwork, rely on a deadline, or change a property.
