Lakewood bulky-item pickup is scheduled through EDCO
Lakewood bulky-item pickup is a scheduled trash service, not something to leave out without notice. Lakewood directs trash customers to schedule through EDCO before the regular collection day.
That is helpful for couches, mattresses, appliances, and other large household items that do not fit in the regular cart. The city also notes that the service pauses during the Christmas tree recycling period after Christmas Day, then resumes in January.
Use the city bulky-item page before a move, garage cleanout, or furniture swap. It is easier to plan the pickup than to have large items sit at the curb too early.
Before calling or requesting service, know your regular trash day, the number of items, and whether any item may need special handling. If the property is not a regular residential trash customer, ask before setting items out.
