California note
National City Connect is public, so write carefully
National City Connect is for non-emergency service requests. The city page names examples like graffiti, potholes, malfunctioning streetlights, abandoned vehicles, and similar local issues.
Use the website or free mobile app. An app report can include a GPS location and photo, and requests may be submitted anonymously. The system also lets people view, comment on, and vote for reports already filed, so check the map before creating a duplicate.
One detail deserves care: this is a public website. The city warns that information in a report can be seen by anyone online. Keep names, phone numbers, medical details, and other personal information out of the public description.
The city monitors National City Connect during normal business hours, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. For a report without the website or app, call Public Works at 619-336-4580. Emergencies still go to 911.
