Pomona emergency planning starts on paper, then shifts to live sources
Pomona and Ready LA County help households make a plan; during an incident, use Pomona's current information and the responding agency for alerts and reports.
Pomona’s Make a Plan page covers work to do now. Decide how people will stay in touch and where they will meet. Pick one trusted person outside the area. That person can help family members reconnect. Ready LA County says to pick one meeting place near home and another outside the area. Add medicine, pets, disabilities, schools, and care needs to the plan.
That written plan is not a live evacuation route. Pick more than one way out. Then use the route named by officials when roads or traffic change. Keep the plan on paper as well as on a phone.
Pomona may open its Emergency Operations Center when an event is severe enough. The center helps the city work with Los Angeles County and Cal OES. It is not a public alert page. Do not wait on it for a personal order.
When something is happening, use Pomona’s Staying Informed page and current city notices. The page keeps emergency numbers apart from non-emergency contacts. It also links to weather, outage, hazard, flood, and evacuation tools. Call 9-1-1 for an immediate emergency. Use the listed agency or non-emergency number for a routine report. A hazard or flood map can help you plan. It is not an evacuation notice.

California Porch explains the path. The official source is still the place to confirm the current rule, fee, form, map, deadline, or office decision.
Use the official page before you spend money, file paperwork, rely on a deadline, or change a property.
