ReadySBC is the county door for Santa Barbara emergency alerts
ReadySBC gives Santa Barbara County residents one official place to check alerts, emergency maps, road closures, hazard awareness, and preparedness resources.
ReadySBC is the Santa Barbara County emergency door to know. It is run by the county Office of Emergency Management and gathers alert signup, emergency information, maps, road closures, recovery resources, and preparedness pages.
That is useful in a county with coast, mountains, canyons, creeks, wildfire burn areas, rural roads, and smaller cities. A storm, road closure, evacuation warning, or power-related issue may affect one area without affecting the whole county.
Sign up for ReadySBC alerts, then learn the maps page before a busy storm day. If you live in a city, keep local city pages in mind too, but ReadySBC is the county-level place to check. It is also a good page to share with guests, college students, workers, or family members who may not know local road and canyon names. During an active incident, use the current emergency page and official alert messages for the exact area.
