California State Parks campsites can need six-month planning
For a popular California State Parks campsite, waiting can cost you the spot. Many campgrounds fill fast, and reservation windows can open up to six months ahead.
The official booking site is ReserveCalifornia. Before you treat the trip as set, read the checkout page. A campsite fee and a reservation processing fee are not the same thing.

California Porch explains the path. The official source is still the place to confirm the current rule, fee, form, map, deadline, or office decision.
Use the official page before you spend money, file paperwork, rely on a deadline, or change a property.
