Zumwalt Park shows how much a downtown park can do. It sits at 455 E. Tulare Avenue, right in the heart of downtown Tulare, and reopened in 2025 after a full redo.

The new version gives the city a real gathering lawn. The Adventist Health Amphitheater adds a stage, tiered seating, lighting, and landscaping for live events. The park also has a splash pad, play structures, restrooms, a gazebo, and wide green space.

The range fits a Valley town. On a hot day, a splash pad can be the practical draw. On an event night, the amphitheater can pull people downtown. On a regular afternoon, the green space and play areas give families an easy place to meet.

For Tulare, Zumwalt Park feels like a downtown gathering promise made real.
