Vacaville City Coach has routes plus on-demand City Coach Direct
Vacaville City Coach includes fixed routes, City Coach Direct on-demand rides, paratransit, taxi scrips, and rider tools like Ride Pingo.
Vacaville City Coach has a few different ride types. The fixed-route side includes routes 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Those routes are the regular map-and-stop option for school, shopping, errands, and work trips inside the city.
City Coach Direct is the on-demand piece. It is built for rides anywhere in Vacaville, with trip requests by phone and Ride Pingo support for on-demand City Coach Direct and Special Services trips.
There are also special services. City Coach has origin-to-destination paratransit by advance appointment, plus a local taxi scrip program for qualified riders. The assistance line is listed for weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
For a regular rider, the trick is to name the trip before choosing the tool. A route bus, on-demand ride, paratransit trip, and taxi scrip are all transportation help, but they are not the same doorway.
