Anaheim permit questions start with the project and the property use
Anaheim's Permit Assistance Center and Online Permit Center help route residential, commercial, industrial, building, plan check, record, and inspection questions.
For an Anaheim address, both the project type and the property use matter. A house repair may be one route. An apartment job, restaurant space, industrial tenant change, sign, solar permit, or inspection request may be another.
The Permit Assistance Center helps with residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The Online Permit Center handles selected online permit tasks, building records, permit reports, and related services. If a business use is changing, ask early. That can happen before signing a lease or purchase agreement.
That is a practical Anaheim wrinkle. Older neighborhoods, resort-area businesses, industrial land, malls, small shops, and big event places all share the same city. A space that worked for one use may need upgrades before it works for another.
Start with the address, the current use, and the planned use. Then add the work: remodel, sign, equipment, electrical, plumbing, tenant change, or inspection. If the use is changing, talk to building staff or use Anaheim Anytime before spending money on plans.
