Concord permit questions begin at the Permit Center

Concordpermitsbuilding

Concord’s Permit Center is the clean first stop for building and project questions. The permit portal is available around the clock for applying for permits, checking application status, checking inspection status, and searching permit history.

That is helpful because a project can start as a simple idea and quickly turn into several questions. A remodel, solar job, deck, water heater, tenant improvement, fence, or addition may need a different application path or inspection step. Concord also has Permit Pal for zoning, permit need, and fee estimate questions.

Before using the portal, gather the property address, parcel or permit number if you have one, contractor license information, owner authorization, and a plain project description. If you are only researching a past permit, search by address or permit number first. If you are changing the use of a space or doing work near the right-of-way, expect planning or engineering questions too.

California Porch explains the path. The official source is still the place to confirm the current rule, fee, form, map, deadline, or office decision.

Use the official page before you spend money, file paperwork, rely on a deadline, or change a property.
