Concord picnic sites need the right reservation
Concord park picnics can be casual or reserved, but group sites, alcohol permits, inflatables, deposits, and special-event needs change the plan.
Concord parks can handle a simple picnic, but a bigger gathering needs more care. Group picnic sites can be reserved up to a year ahead. Non-reservable spaces are first come, first served.
The reservation page is where the details start to matter. A reservation is needed for group picnic sites and for certain extras, including inflatable play structures, alcohol permits, amplified sound needs, or events that may require more city services. Some permits are tied to only certain parks.
The city also lists deposits, cancellation rules, rain checks, park-specific capacities, tables, barbecue setups, shade, water, and whether alcohol permits are available. Those details are easy to miss if you only pick a park by name.
For a birthday, family reunion, team party, or church picnic, match the plan to the site. A few sandwiches under a tree is one thing. A reserved site with a bounce house, music, alcohol, and a large guest list is a different plan.
