Fairfield permits use BUILD Online
Fairfield BUILD is the city's shared permit system for applications, plans, invoices, inspections, and case tracking.
Fairfield BUILD is the city’s current online permit system. It covers Building, Planning, Fire, and Public Works. It replaced TRAKiT. Use BUILD to send a form and plans. You can also pay a bill, ask for an inspection, and follow the case under My Work.
Create an account or sign in before starting. If you already use EnerGov or Civic Access with another government office, use the same email address in Fairfield.
Choose the permit type before you add files. The exact list depends on the job. Common items include a site plan and a clear note about the work. You may also need math sheets and contractor details. The BUILD page has short guides for accounts, forms, payments, and inspections.
