Clear Lake water days work better with a bloom check
Clear Lake is a proud Lake County landmark, but it is a living lake, not a swimming pool. Conditions can change by shoreline, weather, season, and bloom activity.
That is why a lake day works best with a quick water-quality look. Lake County Water Resources and the state harmful-algal-bloom map are the places to use for recent notices, monitoring, and posted guidance.
Keep it practical. People fish, boat, paddle, birdwatch, and enjoy the shore here. Just match the plan to the day’s information, especially for kids, pets, or any plan that puts people in the water.
