Norwalk Community Link offers $1.25 weekday rides inside its local zone, with on-demand app or phone booking and nearby virtual stops.
Community Link is Norwalk’s shared, on-demand ride for trips inside its local service area. It runs Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A ride costs $1.25, and payment is by credit or debit card rather than cash.
Book in the Community Link app or call 562-455-4977. This is an on-demand service, so a ride cannot be reserved for a later day or time. The rider page recommends requesting it about 20 minutes before the trip. The app gives an estimated pickup time after the request is accepted.
Most rides use a nearby virtual stop, which may require a short walk from the starting address. The driver waits two minutes at pickup. Riders age 13 or older may travel alone; younger children need an adult with them.
A rider who needs wheelchair access can request an accessible vehicle in the app or by phone. That request also unlocks curb-to-curb pickup instead of a virtual stop. Check both addresses in the app first, then request the ride only when everyone is nearly ready to leave.
