The city page gives examples that fit this lane: water waste, illegal dumping into storm drains, sewer issues, water leaks, loose manhole lids, pressure problems, potholes, sidewalk hazards, overgrown vegetation, streetlight outages, and traffic signal problems.
Before you send a request, sort out whether it is a water, sewer, storm drain, street, sidewalk, light, or signal issue. Petaluma has riverfront areas, older downtown blocks, hillside streets, and neighborhood edges where one short description may not be enough.
Add the address, cross street, side of the street, and a photo if the issue is visible. For power outages, the city page sends people to PG&E instead, so do not put that in the city request lane.
