Pittsburg Public Works problems need the right contact path
Pittsburg residents can sort potholes, fallen trees, flooding, water or sewer emergencies, and dangerous road problems by using the Public Works and streets pages.
Pittsburg sits on the Delta edge. It has older streets, hill areas, waterfront roads, and busy commute routes. Public Works questions can come from all over town: a pothole, a fallen tree, a streetlight, flooding, or a water or sewer problem.
The Public Works page gives residents a practical split. Fallen trees, added flood areas, and water or sewer emergencies go to the Public Works main line. Road flooding, unsafe roads, blocked roads, and fallen power lines go to police dispatch. Use 911 for emergencies.
The Streets page gives one more useful detail. Potholes and badly worn pavement should be reported to the Public Works Corporation Yard. That small contact detail matters when you are trying to reach the right crew.
For Pittsburg residents, it helps to save both pages. A photo, cross street, time, and clear note can make the report easier to route.
