Pleasanton utility and garbage questions use different offices
Pleasanton utility questions go smoother when you split water and sewer from trash pickup. City utility billing handles water. It also handles sewer, irrigation, and recycled water charges. Pleasanton buys water from Zone 7 Water Agency. It also collects some sewer fees for other local providers.
Garbage and recycling use a different contact. New residents contact Pleasanton Garbage Service to start service. Use that same contact for pickup questions. It also handles recycling help, missed pickups, missing carts, and garbage billing.
That split matters during a move. A water or sewer bill should start with city Customer Service. A cart, pickup, recycling, or garbage bill should start with Pleasanton Garbage Service.
For a Pleasanton household, save both contacts. It keeps a small service problem from bouncing between the wrong counters.
