Stanton bulky pickup needs a CR&R appointment

Stanton bulky-item pickup is handled through CR&R, with different rules for curbside cart homes and multi-family properties.

Stantonbulky pickuptrash service

Stanton bulky pickup is not a “put it out whenever” service. It needs to be scheduled through CR&R, the same company that handles the city’s trash, recycling, organics, holiday tree collection, construction and demolition, and sharps collection lanes.

For homes with curbside cart service, Stanton allows bulky pickup through CR&R with up to four bulky items per scheduled pickup. The request should be arranged at least two business days before the regular collection day. Large items like furniture, mattresses, refrigerators, and e-waste belong in this lane.

Multi-family properties get a different setup: four bulky-item pickups per year, with up to four bulky items per scheduled pickup. That difference matters for apartments and condos, where a couch near the curb or bin enclosure can quickly become a sidewalk, driveway, or shared-space problem.

Before calling, make a short item list and confirm the service address, property type, regular collection day, and set-out spot. If the item is hazardous waste, construction debris, or a regular container issue, use the trash and recycling page to sort it before scheduling.
