LAFD brush clearance status can be checked by parcel
LAFD's parcel tool uses an Assessor Parcel Number, while an account made with the APN and mailed PIN can show inspection photos and email pass-or-fail notices.
LAFD’s brush-clearance lookup starts with the Assessor Parcel Number, or APN. You can find it on the owner notification mailed in March, a Notice of Violation, or the property-tax statement.
Enter the APN in LAFD’s FIMS parcel tool to find the property. For secured inspection details, register an account with the APN and the PIN printed on the owner notification. A registered account can show photos the inspector took of brush hazards and can send LAFD pass-or-fail notices by email.
Use the photos and the current clearance requirements together. A photo shows what the inspector flagged; the requirements explain the standard. Keep the notice, APN, PIN, photos, proof of completed work, and any invoice in one place until the parcel passes.
If an APN covers more than one address or the record does not match the property, contact the Brush Clearance Unit before guessing. The parcel record is the useful starting point, but LAFD’s current requirements control the work.
