Moreno Valley alerts and zones are worth saving by address

Moreno ValleyAlert MoValevacuation zones

Moreno Valley has three related emergency tools. Alert MoVal is the opt-in city system for significant incidents and city instructions. Alert RivCo is the opt-in county system for emergencies inside and outside city boundaries. Genasys Protect is the address-based zone and map layer; Moreno Valley zones begin with MOE.

Register for both alert systems and save the Genasys zone for home, work, school, or a relative. A message may not reach every device, so use more than one alert path. Wireless Emergency Alerts are another broadcast layer and do not require an account.

The city’s evacuation language is direct. A warning means danger is near, prepare to leave, and leave early if you need more time. An order means go now. Shelter in place means it is not safe to leave; get inside and follow the current instructions until an all-clear.

The Alert MoVal hub can show significant-event updates, shelters, and road information, but its interactive city map is currently marked coming soon. During an incident, use the current city status, Genasys zone map, Alert RivCo, and responder directions rather than assuming every feature on the hub is live.
