Torrance Transit has local routes, L.A. Express fares, and TAP

Torrance Transit riders should separate local routes, L.A. Express service, route schedules, fares, and TAP or pass questions.

TorrancetransitTAP

Torrance Transit can be a handy local layer in the South Bay, but it helps to separate the route question from the fare question. The routes page has individual maps, schedules, the system map, and the full Bus Book. The schedule shown there is effective April 5, 2026.

The fare side has two lanes. The fare table separates local service from L.A. Express service. Local base cash fare is listed at $1, while L.A. Express base cash fare is listed at $2. Reduced fares, monthly passes, and transfer details have their own rows.

TAP and pass questions point toward the Torrance Transit Store at the Mary K. Giordano Regional Transit Center. That is where monthly bus passes, tokens, TAP cards, and other fare media are handled.

This matters because a Torrance trip can touch several systems in one day: a local bus, an express ride toward Los Angeles, Metro, a park-and-ride stop, or a train connection. Sorting the trip by route, fare, and card keeps the plan from getting tangled.
