TRACER is Tracy's city bus system
TRACER gives Tracy fixed-route bus service, paratransit and on-demand options, mobile ticketing, and route updates that are worth checking before a trip.
Tracy has a city bus system that can be easy to miss if you mostly think of the city by freeway exits, ACE, or long car trips. TRACER runs fixed-route buses and has separate information for paratransit and on-demand rides.
The city posts schedules, maps, route changes, and fare tools on the fixed-route page. A new brochure may appear before it takes effect, so use the schedule whose effective date covers the day you plan to ride. The page also links to student ride information, mobile ticketing, and the RIDE TRACER app for paratransit and on-demand service.
The TRACER trip planner is a help-request form, not an instant route result. Staff may take up to two business days to respond. For a trip sooner than that, use the dated route schedule and map.
Transit details change, especially after route updates. Use the city TRACER page close to the day you ride, then build the rest of the trip around the exact stop and time.
